Blogspot Safe from Hackers?
Blogspot Safe from Hackers? : Is blogspot safe from hackers? The answer can be yes or no. As we know, on the internet anything can happen. If it is said to be 100% safe it is impossible. It's just that we don't know if blogspot has been hacked because we don't monitor the blogspot server 24 hours continuously.
In recent days, the news of cyberspace in Indonesia has been stirred up by hackers who have hacked several government-owned sites. Especially after the Presidentsby.info site was defaced, and spread to several other government sites after the culprit was arrested.
Hackers usually attack self-hosted (paid) sites and rarely attack sites that use free hosting. It's not impossible, but it's difficult to penetrate the defense of free site servers which usually come from large sites, such as blogspot.com, wordpress.com, weebly.com, multiply.com, and others.
Free hosting provider sites are devoted to managing an internet network and of course they have thought of all possible risks, including hackers. In contrast to sites, individuals, organizations, institutions or groups must try to defend themselves from security holes.
Is Blogspot Safe from Hackers?
Blogspot belongs to Google, the internet giant, of course, all possible intrusions have been well anticipated. If not, chances are Google has been destroyed long ago. But, I believe thousands if not millions of hackers are trying to try to attack Google. Whether it's as an attempt to test the weakness of Google's system, or maybe there is another purpose. This has been reinforced by the presence of hundreds of dollars in prizes for someone ( becoming a hacker ) if they manage to find a Google security hole.
Maybe blogspot is safe from hackers, but what about blogspot users? This is the problem. I've never seen blogspot defaced, only some blogspot functions can't work, for some reason? What I've heard is that the blogspot account was taken over by someone else (hackers?) or deactivated.
The blogspot security error usually lies with the blogspot user itself, namely by hijacking the password of the blogger account owner, which automatically makes Gmail take over. The same thing happens with other free hosting like wordpress.com. If it's like this, because of carelessness, the blog can be lost to someone else.
Although the blogspot system can be said to be safe from hackers , the account owner is required to pay attention to the security of his blog by strengthening login access to the blog, that's all. Password security plays an important role.
